The Story Behind The Sand Dude

Hi! I’m Lindsay – wife, mom of two awesome kids, and proud Flagler local. Life in our sunny little beach town is full of salty breezes, barefoot days, and yes… that beautiful, but stubborn, coquina sand that just sticks to EVERYTHING it touches.

The idea for The Sand Dude came one morning when I saw a fisherman furiously scrubbing his legs with a toilet brush (yes, really!) trying to get the sand off. It looked so painful… and then I couldn’t stop thinking: There has to be a better way!

With a leap of faith and God guiding every step, I began designing a brush that was soft, hypoallergenic and effective. It took over two years of trial, error, testing, retesting, and plenty of prayer.

Finally, on June 9, 2025, with a single Facebook post and a whole lot of faith, The Sand Dude was born. Within a week, the post had spread locally, The Sand Dude was in four Flagler County stores, and we’d already hit $2,000 in sales.

This isn’t just a brush—it’s a story of faith, family, and believing that even a simple idea from a small-town mom can make waves.
